Feng Shui that Makes Sense!

Feng Shui is the ancient Art of Space Arrangement.

Properly used, it creates beautiful home and business environments where people get luckier.

Improperly used, it creates bizarre looking spaces that do nothing to improve your luck – never mind helping you create a space you love.

Much of the information you'll find on Feng Shui – on the internet and even in books written by famous people – is inapplicable to our Western lifestyle and taste.

Many people who try Feng Shui on their own end up with homes and businesses that don't even look good, and make visitors wonder what went wrong.

At Feng Shui for Us we can help you learn and apply Feng Shui in a way that makes sense. Scroll down and keep reading to learn the basics and see how we can empower you to thrive in the practice of Feng Shui, whether you want to learn for yourself or to help others.

Understanding Feng Shui

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is a healing art that analyzes spaces and then suggest simple changes that will help you feel more relaxed, be more productive, and get along with others better.

The objective of Feng Shui is to help you live a happier life.

What are the different types of Feng Shui?

There are two branches in Feng Shui: Form School and Compass School.

  • Form School applies natural and universal laws to buildings in order to create interior and exterior spaces that reproduce the beauty and harmony of the natural world.

  • Compass School attempts to create harmony with the use of astrology, numerology and the compass directions.

In this training website, we use a method that is derived from Form School Feng Shui.

A New Way to Practice Feng Shui

The Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System and Online School

Here we use the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System a step by step method to learn and apply Feng Shui that works every time.

It's a new way to practice Feng Shui that is rooted in ancient knowledge.

The Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System combines the most ancient form of Feng Shui with principles of Modern Architecture and Alternative Healing.

By learning this method, you will never again be confused about Feng Shui. You will always know what to do.

Here, you can also learn how to help other people turn their homes into dream homes!

How I created the Nine Steps to Feng Shui System

The Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System is based on Form School Feng Shui.

This system combines:

  • Form School Feng Shui
  • Modern Architecture
  • Alternative Healing

Form School Feng Shui

Form School Feng Shui is the most ancient form of Feng Shui, and it is considered an Asian healing art. It works with chi (life force) and other forces of nature to create environments where human life can thrive.

Because of all the contradictory information between the schools and branches of Feng Shui, I contrasted Feng Shui information against the principles of other Asian healing arts, such as acupuncture, healing exercise practices (such as Tai Chi and Qi-Gong), and herbalism. I did this with the help of several mentors who were professionals in Asian healing arts.

During this research process, I found that Form School Feng Shui has stayed truer to the original principles of ancient Asian wisdom, and this is the reason I chose that branch to be the foundation of my system.

Modern Architecture

I got a degree in Architecture from the Central University of Ecuador in 1995. I was lucky to have amazing teachers that introduced to me to universal principles of design, which helped me make sense of Feng Shui, and organize it in a way that it can be taught, remembered and applied easily.

When I first became interested in Feng Shui, I noticed that people often ended up with bizarre looking places when they tried to apply Feng Shui. For example, consultants and even masters of different schools gave color advice that ended up producing odd results in the interior design.

I wanted my method to help people create places that not only had great energy, but that were also pleasing to the eye. That's why the promise of the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System is that you will learn how to create spaces you love, and which you are proud to show.

Alternative Healing

Feng Shui is one of the oldest and most effective healing modalities in the planet. I knew that for my system to get the best results, it needed to follow the principles of universal healing that are common to all successful healing modalities.

Unfortunately, in today's world, many have reduced Feng Shui to a design technique, while others have mixed up Feng Shui with superstitious and disempowering practices.

When I started with Feng Shui, I tested much of the Feng Shui information I came across with test groups in the Northern Hemisphere, the Southern Hemisphere, and around the equator. In this way, I was able to create a method that would work
anywhere in the world!

An Ancient Blueprint for Life

The Feng Shui Bagua Map

The Bagua Map is a tool used in Feng Shui that assigns Nine Life Areas to sectors on the floor plan of your home. You basically draw a tic-tac-toe pattern on your floor plan to apply this chart to your home and see where the life areas fall.

There is much confusion on how to apply the bagua map.

In Compass Schools of Feng Shui they apply the bagua map by using the compass directions.

In the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® System, we apply the bagua map by aligning the main entrance of the home to the bottom of the bagua map. This method of applying the bagua map (also known as the "compass of the heart") was originally suggested by master Lin Yun, former grand master of the Black Hat School of Feng Shui (a derivation of Form School Feng Shui).

I chose to use the bagua map in this way, because it is based on human biology and psychology, instead of being based on the compass directions. It is easier to use, and produces better results.
